I was tidying up a friend's flat this week and found she had a full score of Thomas Tallis's "Spem in Alium" lying about (40 voices, set out as eight 5-part choirs). I was tempted to try it as another test-case-for-bizarre-ABC; there's nothing very complicated about it except for the sheer scale. The score (OUP edition) was something close to folded-A1 paper size, but the staves are still small enough that a conductor would need good eyesight to see all the details. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jack Campin: 11 Third Street, Newtongrange, Midlothian EH22 4PU; 0131 6604760 <http://www.purr.demon.co.uk/jack> * food intolerance data & recipes, Mac logic fonts, Scots traditional music files, and my CD-ROM "Embro, Embro". ------> off-list mail to "j-c" rather than "abc" at this site, please <------ To subscribe/unsubscribe, point your browser to: http://www.tullochgorm.com/lists.html
