I thought I'd give the original abc2mtex a try, but can't make it work. Here's my abc test file:
--- begin test.abc --- X:1 T:Test M:4/4 L:1/4 K:C CDEF | GED2 | --- end test.abc ---
Running "abc2mtex test.abc" gives me the following "music.tex":
--- begin music.tex ---
\def\abcmusix{N}
\input header
%
\message{********** Test ***************************************************************}%
\def\Xtrue{Y}\def\Xstring{1}
\def\Ttrue{Y}\def\Tstring{Test}
\def\Strue{N}
\def\Ctrue{N}
\def\Atrue{N}
\def\Ntrue{N}
\def\Tatrue{N}
\def\Tbtrue{N}
\def\Ptrue{N}
\tune{\header%
\generalsignature{0}%
\generalmeter{\meterfrac{4}{4}}%
\normal\elemskip=8.5pt%
\debutmorceau%
\notes\qu c\qu d\qu e\qu f\enotes%
\barre% no 1
\notes\qu g\qu e\hu d\enotes%
\barre% no 2
\hfil\zsuspmorceau%
}%
\end% --- end music.tex ---
Then I'm not sure what to do, but running both musixtex and tex on "music.tex" gives the folowing errors:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] abc2mtex]$ musixtex music.tex This is TeX, Version 3.14159 (Web2C 7.4.5) (./music.tex (/usr/share/texmf/tex/musixtex/abc2mtex/header.tex ! I can't find file `musicnft'. l.9 \input musicnft
