Hi, Ben Alex,

Our team are building a new framework for internal enterprise
application. And we're making a trial with Acegi Security System 0.8.3. We'll
need LDAP support. Currently, I'm using the "LdapPasswordAuthenticationDao"
class placed at CVS. I'm waiting for this stable version included in Acegi 0.9
ASAP. If it is possible, I'd be very thankful.

By the way, congratulations for the excelent work with Acegi.

                Thanks,

Just thought I'd re-send this to the list, in case someone out there is
interested in pickup up on the LDAP work? I have had a look today and
Robert has a well-progressed solution in CVS. As far as I can see, the
LdapPasswordAuthenticationDao is the "simple" version, and this is what
the unit tests are for. The LdapPassword2AuthenticationDao is more
modular, with more features, but there are no unit tests. Still, it
looks like the better one to focus on including in 0.9.0.

I'd take on the LDAP work myself, but I currently have another 14
changes related to 0.9.0 outstanding and thought someone out there might
have a need for it (I don't need LDAP capabilities myself). If
interested, please send a note to the list. Otherwise we'll probably
have to shift LDAP support to 1.0.0 or later.

        Best regards
        Ben
