I have implmented the rememberMe filter so that whenever a user opens his browser and goes to our main page he is automatically logged in.
This work very cool on our development servers, but on our production servers we use some kind of own written caching system that will "translate" some url's from a dynamic request to a static HTML page to take some load of our database. When a user enters our URL in his brower he's routed to this HTML page (handled by apache) and not to the application server and this means that the rememberMe filter is not fired ... I was tinking about using AJAX to perform a one time request to the server but then I have to include this in every JSP (HTML) that we have ... Any other ideas ? Thanks !!
