Zhang, this bug scares me a little. It sounds like the OpRegion based
interface is correctly giving us hotkey notifier events, but not giving us a
way to actually change backlight levels. Is there a separate set of ACPI
methods we need to use to actually change the backlight brightness? Are we
supposed to use the LBB & BLC_PWM_CTL regs? Won't that conflict with the
external controller in these machines?
I think you and Hong have tested this on T61s, so I'm curious to hear what
you've found...
