If you're going to build modules with the CPAN tool, then you'll need to 
know how to convert them into Universal binaries for x86 + x86_64, 
otherwise the architectures won't match.

Why not just use PPM? File::Util is available with the matching 
architecture for 5.14:
http://code.activestate.com/ppm/File-Util/
