Arthur, If you're going to build modules with the CPAN tool, then you'll need to know how to convert them into Universal binaries for x86 + x86_64, otherwise the architectures won't match.
Why not just use PPM? File::Util is available with the matching architecture for 5.14: http://code.activestate.com/ppm/File-Util/ Graham Stuart On 03/13/2012 08:26 AM, Arthur Goldberg wrote: > This perl program: >> #!/usr/bin/perl >> use File::Util; > generates this error: >> dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: >> _Perl_xs_apiversion_bootcheck >> Referenced from: /usr/local/ActivePerl-5.14/lib//auto/Fcntl/Fcntl.bundle >> Expected in: dynamic lookup >> >> dyld: Symbol not found: _Perl_xs_apiversion_bootcheck >> Referenced from: /usr/local/ActivePerl-5.14/lib//auto/Fcntl/Fcntl.bundle >> Expected in: dynamic lookup >> >> Trace/BPT trap: 5 > I'm running on OS X 10.7.3 >> $ uname -a >> Darwin ArthursMacBook.local 11.3.0 Darwin Kernel Version 11.3.0: Thu >> Jan 12 18:47:41 PST 2012; root:xnu-1699.24.23~1/RELEASE_X86_64 x86_64 > with activestate perl 14.10.2: >> $ perl -version >> >> This is perl 5, version 14, subversion 2 (v5.14.2) built for >> darwin-thread-multi-2level >> (with 1 registered patch, see perl -V for more detail) >> >> Copyright 1987-2011, Larry Wall >> >> Binary build 1402 [295342] provided by ActiveState >> http://www.ActiveState.com >> Built Oct 7 2011 15:58:41 > which I just installed.
