I installed perl 5.16 so that I could install pdk 9.3. When I execute perl with the -d switch, I get "the program can't start becauseperl512.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling..." I've resinstalled both 5.16 and pdk 9.3 with no joy. I tried adding a backup copy of perl512.dll to the end of the Windows path (after the perl and pdk install directories/folders) but the graphical debugger still does not startup. I'm guessing that some registry key or an environment variable is missing.
I've submitted the issue to the ActiveState perl "community" forum but have not resolved the issue there. I'm using perl only in personal projects, so I can't justify purchasing the business version of perl. I did purchase the pdk several years ago but support for that is technically not available any longer. I'm disappointed that ActiveState can't find a way to offer a non-commercial version at a reasonable price for not-for-profit use. TIA, Phil
