My guess is it's probably Readify people who have pretty much stopped contributing here, mostly. I don't see why, particularly. > Seriously, the multiple lists probably cope well with .NET coding across a > wide range of skillsets. > > I still believe that a forum that adequately supplemented the ausDotNet list > would cater for a lot of the OT and philosophical (euphemistic for more > descriptive words I could use) chatter. It's amazingly trivial just to ignore it though; but then again I know not everyone subscribes to mailing lists in the model that I do (i.e. effectively a throw-away account that I sometimes check). Regarding the forum, I've previously considered how trivial it would be to write a connector that takes mail and posts it as posts, and vice versa. Obviously there'd be some intricacies (i.e. opt in, or something, or a bit more complicated). I've thought about doing it, but I really don't think anyone would care enough, and I don't have the time to waste on it anymore, + as I spoke to David about ages ago, a commercial system would probably be better, if anyone actually *really* cared. > ________________________________ > > Ian Thomas > Victoria Park, Western Australia > > ________________________________ -- silky http://www.mirios.com.au/ http://island.mirios.com.au/t/rigby+random+20 ENVISAGE = self-regulating SNOWDRIFT = innumeracy PIVOTAL CONFIDENTIALLY STREAM peristalsis a... _______________________________________________ admin mailing list [email protected] http://prdlxvm0001.codify.net/mailman/listinfo/admin
