We have a mixture of LTO3 and LTO4 tapes in the one tape library. Our primary disk backup storage pool - BKPPOOL - is set to migrate to BKPLTO4POOL when it reaches 90% full.
The storage pool BKPLTO4POOL is set to device class LTO4CLASS. We also have device class LTO3CLASS for the LTO3 tapes. However when the migration is performed from BKPPOOL to BKPLTO4POOL it seems to always grab an LTO3 scratch tape despite the fact that there are numerous LTO4 scratch tapes available. Is it possible to change a setting or force it to use an LTO4 scratch tape instead of an LTO3 scratch tape?
