Micro$oft has announced an intention to whole-hog in integrating AI
features with Windows 11. I expect the roll-out of this to be rushed and
crude but to advance at a frantic pace. The problem for us is how to
respond to this. It is very true that Micro$oft is the Evil Empire (tm)
But, on the other hand, sticking to principle and fiddling with open
source may cost time that we don't have.

There are many many questions. The basic problem is developing a
personal strategy and deciding when to buy hardware and then how much
hardware to buy. Yeah, things should get cheaper, then alot cheaper,
but then by the time you reach "alot cheaper" then you may have missed
the boat on a lot of things and your options may be considerably more
limited...
