Dear all, A recent trend in the replies to the questions posted on the list is to provide almost only references. Consequently, ai-geostats is used mainly as a mailing list while it should be mainly a discussion group.
References are obviously a very good think, especially if they are not always the same ones, but providing more detailed explanations would be better in order to stimulate further discussions. So please, try as much as possible to combine both detailed explanations and references. On the other hand, it is the responsibility of the person posting questions to have a prior quick look through the archives of the mails (see www.ai-geostats.org) to make sure that the same questions are not repeated all the time.
