Hi list, I have this problem. I got no sound in q3 and rtcw. I am using debian 3.0 with alsa 0.9.10 and everything works fine on my desktop (now) and xmms can play through /dev/dsp. when I start q3 this is in the console:
------- sound initialization ------- Could not mmap dma buffer PROT_WRITE|PROT_READ trying mmap PROT_WRITE (with associated better compatibility / less performance code) /dev/dsp: Input/output error Could not mmap /dev/dsp ------------------------------------ I'm clueless! is this something you guys have seen before?
