Dear ALSA developers, I am desperately trying to load alsa drivers from my sound card. A bunch of cool applications depend on it.
I have done everything in the INSTALL manuals and outdated HOWTOs. I compile the drivers fine (gcc 2.96) but when I try to load them with modprobe I get the following error: [root@hori misc]# /sbin/modprobe snd-card-emu10k1 /lib/modules/2.4.7-10/misc/snd-card-emu10k1.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters /lib/modules/2.4.7-10/misc/snd-card-emu10k1.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.7-10/misc/snd-card-emu10k1.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.7-10/misc/snd-card-emu10k1.o: insmod snd-card-emu10k1 failed Any ideas ?
