This is the OSS driver (audio).  Put the line

audio

into the file /etc/hotplug/blacklist to prevent it from loading (or
deactivate it in the kernel config).

This made no difference. I completely disabled hotplug and loaded the modules manually. First the usb controller module, and then the snd-usb-audio module. The output of dmesg is below
