I suggested to define an API first, not a particular implementation.

I am quite satisfied with my multi-samplerate card.

I am surprised though, that when ALSA  architecture was defined the resampling
functionality was not defined as a modular one.

Or I am wrong ?

Since we are talking about architecture - should architectural enhancements
be submitted as patches ?
