Hello all,
If somebody may direct me to an article I would be thankful.
I have several sound devices that change.
* a usb sound card with output only
* a usb webcam with a microphone
* a bluetooth adapter that provides a sound device with my BT headset
my problem is that if I boot with the webcam disconnected like this:
$ cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [V8237 ]: VIA8237 - VIA 8237
VIA 8237 with CMI9761 at 0xe800, irq 11
1 [Bt878 ]: Bt87x - Brooktree Bt878
Brooktree Bt878 at 0xe8101000, irq 11
2 [Audio ]: USB-Audio - USB Audio
C-Media INC. USB Audio at usb-0000:00:10.3-2, full
speed
3 [Headset ]: Bluetooth SCO - BT Headset
BT Headset 1
then after plugging the webcam:
# cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [V8237 ]: VIA8237 - VIA 8237
VIA 8237 with CMI9761 at 0xe800, irq 11
1 [Bt878 ]: Bt87x - Brooktree Bt878
Brooktree Bt878 at 0xe8101000, irq 11
2 [Audio ]: USB-Audio - USB Audio
C-Media INC. USB Audio at usb-0000:00:10.3-2, full
speed
3 [Headset ]: Bluetooth SCO - BT Headset
BT Headset 1
4 [U0x46d0x8c5 ]: USB-Audio - USB Device 0x46d:0x8c5
USB Device 0x46d:0x8c5 at usb-0000:00:10.4-1, high
speed
but if I reboot the headset takes device 4 and the webcam device 3.
I tried mending /etc/modules.d/alsa:
alias snd-card-0 snd-via82xx
options snd-via82xx index=0
alias snd-card-1 snd-bt87x
alias snd-card-2 snd-bt-sco
alias snd-card-3 snd-usb-audio
alias snd-card-4 snd-usb-audio
options snd cards_limit=5
but it doesnt help
I did manage to fix the oss using udev rules.
how can I fix it?
uname -a 2.6.15.4
udev 087
