The main point of my reply was to suggest the developers not invent languages in case the existing ones can serve the purpose. Relying on existing languages greatly increases the amount of developers who would volunteer to write in them. Of course, and again, the documentation on API/HAL is needed. To make thing absolutely clear - I myself do not understand the .asoundrc syntax and have a long time abandoned my attempts to understand it. I do not have any problem in understanding Perl/Python hierarchical data structures, and recently I had to understand TCL ones - it was easy. ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
