It's listed in ALSA-Configuration.txt.

How to apply the module option depends on the system (distro).
Usually it's set up in /etc/modprobe.d/* file or /etc/modprobe.conf,
and there is a line like "options snd-intel8x0 ..." in the config
file.  Add the new option to that line.  (Don't write two lines.  Only
one of them is picked up.)
