Alright, thanks. So, just to be clear, there is no way of having the behavior explained above AND dmix? That would be a pity since it is (at least in my view) a very normal thing that should work. And by the way, i tworks under Windows, so it is indeed possible. Any other suggestion of achieving this with asound.conf?
