Instead of one big config file, debian uses a config directory -
/etc/modprobe.d.
This isn't out of the ordinary at all (and makes a lot more sense!) the
modprobe.conf man page says "/etc/modprobe.conf (or, if that does not
exist, all files under the /etc/modprobe.d directory) specifies
those options, as required."
So just stick a text file in that directory with the options you need.
