You people helped me get hardware mixing working, so I figured you could help
me with my latest problem. I had everything working with my soundcard
(Turtle Beach...CS46xx chipset) and my 2.1 speaker setup.
However, I decided to try the KDE 3.2 alpha2, which rocks, btw. Anyway, it installed arts, which may be the source of this problem (then again, maybe not).
Anyway, I noticed, that all of a sudden, my sounds were only coming out of my
right front sattelite (the one with volume control, incidentally). If I turn
up my sub volume, the bass increases just a tad....almost like the soundcard
is trying to use my sub as the second sattellite. I tried disabling arts,
then testing everything again, but no go. I even reinstalled an updated
kernel (as I build alsa into the kernel), but that did not solve it. I am
really pulling ym hari out over this one. Here is the output from amixer, as
