Maybe you can help me with
I hope so...
options snd device_mode=0660
Where do I find information about possible options to the module? Because on the alsa-doc there isn't any option like "device_mode".
I can assume that I've found it somewhere, without verifying it... I was so desesperated... ;c)
the modinfo cmd can give you more information on a module...
$ /sbin/modinfo snd author: Jaroslav Kysela <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> description: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture driver for soundcards. license: GPL parm: major:Major # for sound driver. parm: cards_limit:Count of auto-loadable soundcards. alias: char-major-116-* parm: device_mode:Device file permission mask for devfs. alias: char-major-116-* vermagic: 2.6.3 preempt K7 gcc-3.3 depends: soundcore
I am still not able to control volume completly. "Master" in alsamixer doesn't control LFE and center for example. So I am not able to control volume via freevo, which can only affect a single slider.
freevo ? I don't know what's that :c/
Do you have any hint for me?
what's your hardware configuration ? because I'm totally a noob w/ alsa... so maybe maybe not :cb
PS: I've Cc: the list, because I think that this thread may interrest more people than only you and me :c)
