Whenever I start KDE I get...
device: default can't be opened for playback (Function not
implemented)
If I run Amarok with xine I get
xine could not initialize any audio drivers
I do have permission to run ALSA (I'm in the AUDIO group and can run
alsamixer as a normal user and change volume settings.)
# cat /proc/asound/cards

I have loaded the driver in the kernel, as well as modular, and am
currently using alsa-driver, all with the same problem.
# lspci

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as I have re-built my kernel on
a daily basis for over a month. I'm really out of ideas, and would
welcome any advice...
