Subject: ELMIRA OPENS WITH WIN 3-2 AT JR MEN'S -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pinch hitter Ben Tee brought Ron Dean home from second with a one out single to center to give Elmira a 3-2 win to open the 2007 Causeway Bay Junior Men's sfast pitch championship in Summerside PEI. The throw went to the cutoff man, who relayed it to home however it caught the ducking Simcoe pitcher 's glove and was halted. It would have been a close play had it got to the catcher. Elmira's oither runs came off a solo home run and a sac fly to elft. Both of Simcoe's runs were counted in theri half of the fourth on back to back sharply hit singles under sunny skies and a good sized crowd for the first game between these two Ontario rivals.
