Don't worry about /var/amavisd/tmp/, these are not messages that
would need to be 'salvaged'. Messages are still in the Postfix queue
(until they expire, like in 5 days, and then the sender will receive
a non-delivery notification).

Just stop amavisd, delete all temporary directories in /var/amavisd/tmp/,
and restart amavisd again. This time pay attention to the log and
try to determine what is the reason for preserving temporary directories,
and fix the original problem.
