Yes, correct, this is a default behaviour.
Note that subject is only modified for inbound or all-internal mail,
i.e. for recipients which are local (matching @local_domains_maps).
Make sure you have all your local domains listed there.
For example:
@local_domains_maps = ([
qw( .localhost .example.com .example.net )
]);
