How about just turning on 24 hours (turning off show regular hours only)?
You can put an icon in your toolbar and/or create a shortcut key by
customizing the toolbar. I have an icon for each in my toolbar.

hour view

Is it possible to assign a ticker to two different groups? There are
times i find when i want to see extended hour data, but would also
like the ability to quickly switch back to non-extended hour views.
