Thanks, I see what you mean. Then I will stick to my first solution. If you check my first post, I explain that the contactlistLoaded event does not work, because the plugin does not receive it. I wonder if that event is used by the core at all, I made a string search in the tcl files but found no line that fires that event. There is an empty handler function and a global variable contactlist_loaded which is set to 0 or 1 but never used. Maybe I am missing something but in any case, that signal can not be used by the plugins.
