I have done lots of work with XML in a reporting context and agree with Stephen, that it's not really the best solution for the problem. It's not particularly light weight, it's not very streamable, and it ends up being somewhat contrived when meta data and data are combined in a single document. Of course, there are lots of available parsers for it (unlike CRO) and it can be converted through CSS or XSLT to many display formats. >> Is there also something documenting how >> the computer output works? > Yes, it's fully documented in docs/compout.html.
