There are onCreate(), onPause(), onResume(), onStop(), onRestart() as described in http://code.google.com/intl/ru/android/reference/android/app/Activity.html#ActivityLifecycle you might want to override some of them. Maybe you might want to perform your loading process in onCreate() ?
