As our Senior DevOps Engineer you will have deep understanding of the application architecture to assess and analyze bottlenecks, hotspots and barriers to scaling/automation. You will lead DevOps, environment support escalations, technology architecture and Infrastructure design activities. Other responsibilities include: ● The candidate is expected to lead design of DevOps platform, Continuous Integration and Continuous Development tools and relevant automation to implement an Agile DevOps methodology. ● Articulate and guide development of tools and processes leveraged across SDLC for continuous improvement in agility, quality and process/tooling maturity that helps with source code management, branching strategies, and static code analysis tools. ● Work in partnership with Application Owners, Architects and Infrastructure teams to anchor automation of environment setup configuration and operations management for hardware stack, OS stack, virtualization needs, application/web servers, storage/database, firewalls & load balancers, etc. ● Work in partnership with testing team to facilitate integration into Continuous Integration and Continuous Development process ● Provides opinion on configuration management, build & deployment management, version control and site reliability related decision making ● Continue consistent effort to shorten the release cycles, improve the supportability, enhance the performance and scalability of the application landscape. ● Drive effort to mentor engineers on the DevOps team on proactive and reactive basis. ● Operate the platform within our security and privacy guidelines Requirements ● Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, with 10+ years of relevant professional experience ● 3+ years of exposure to setting-up and configuring AWS to best practices ● 4+ of experience working in a DevOps role in a continuous integration environment ● Working experience with Amazon AWS (EC2, S3, CloudFront, Route53, RDS, autoscaling) ● Rich DevOps skills across SCM, Static Code Analyzer, Build and Release, Continuous Integration & Delivery tools and frameworks ● Experience with system management automation tools like Chef, Puppet, Jenkins ● Experience designing and maintaining a highly-available global cloud based architecture ● Experience with relational & NoSQL data stores, such as MongoDB ● Solid understanding of application data flow and ability to partner with software engineers and other infrastructure engineers ● Experience adhering to an Agile development environment and iterative sprint cycle. ● Experience with GIT, bitbucket, or Github and the gitflow model. ● Comfortable with scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python) ● Ability to use a wide variety of technologies and tools such as NGINX, Varnish, Memcached, GlusterFS, ElasticSearch, Nagios They keys to the role are: - Linux knowledge - Tools such as Packer and Ansible - Able to build Jenkins servers - AWS Thanks, *Neha Kumari |* *Technical Recruiter* | *Apetan Consulting LLC* Tel:201-620-9700* 106 | Fax: 201-526-6869 | *Mail *: 72 van reipen ave pmb#255, Jersey City, NJ 07306 | *Corp.
