The focus of this role is to ensure the Wiley SAP solution design is consistent with SAP best practices. Expert level design and configuration knowledge in SAP IS Media, SAP Sales & Distribution, Subscriptions, Revenue recognition and Inventory management. - Guide the business in utilizing the SAP platform functionality to the best extent possible, including the review of business processes and system integration challenges. - Manage the interplay between Wiley processes and the SAP configuration. - Partner with Business Process leads on process requirements. - Ensure all integration points are addressed and overall solution integrity of the landscape. - Lead the SAP configuration Wiley team to ensure that the SAP solution is in line with best practices. - Accountable for the quality of the SAP OTC solution. - Provide functional design oversight for the solution. - Look for alternative approaches to SAP custom development in collaboration with SAP and SI. - Scope and Estimate business requirements - Work with business process leads and users to gather requirements for reports and application extensions - Lead the delivery of projects like Functional enhancements, Enhancement pack upgrade, Support pack upgrade etc. - Create functional specifications, test plans, user training, cutover plans and other project documentation - Diagnose and resolve application and process issues as they arise - Conduct technical overviews and software capability demonstrations for business process owners and leads as required - Train SAP Super users, Business process owners and business process leads - Escalate risks and issues to SAP Build Director. *PROFESSIONAL SCOPE OF ROLE *(Choose from the descriptions included on the guidance notes the definition that *best* describes the professional scope of the position. Look for alternative approaches to SAP custom development in collaboration with SAP and SI. Minimize costs associated with customizations. 4. Scope and estimate business requirements. Work with business process leads and users to gather requirements for reports and application extensions. Lead the delivery of projects like functional enhancements, enhancement pack upgrade, Support pack upgrade etc. Ensure deployment on key business requirements within time and budget. 5. Create functional specifications, test plans, user training, cutover plans and other project documentation Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all program requirements documentation 6. Conduct technical overviews and software capability demonstrations for business process owners and leads as required and train SAP Super users, business process owners and business process leads. Ensure training and acceptance of the solution. 7. Guide the business in utilizing platform functionality to the best extent possible, including the review of business processes and system integration challenges. Minimize costs associated with customizations required to accommodate non-standard business processes. 8. Escalate issue to SAP Build director. Minimize cost and delays due to unanticipated issues. *SELECTION CRITERIA * *ESSENTIAL * *DESIRABLE* Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or a combination of related experience and education. SAP Certification Masters in Management Prior Experience / Industry or Other · 8 plus years of SAP experience across multiple end to end implementations, with at least 3 as SD lead or Functional Integration lead. · SAP Functional configuration expertise in Sales & Distribution, Logistics Execution, 3 PL integration, Revenue recognition, Pricing Inventory Management. · Good knowledge of SAP Product master. · Experience in Master data governance concepts. Multi-country rollout experience preferred SAP Collections & Dispute Management Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics · Solid communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams and to make project presentations · Excellent time-management skills and ability to plan ahead for scheduled tasks · Ability to train a non-technology audience Technical and Business Competencies · Thorough understanding of the project life cycle from requirements definition through Post Implementation Support · Strong analytical and problem solving skills · Extremely proficient in the use of MS Office products such as Project, Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint Self-Management Competencies · Versatile, dynamic, demonstrates initiative, results oriented, flexible and able to work under tight deadlines · Critical thinker with good judgment and initiative · Strong attention to detail · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment · Willingness to work outside of normal business hours to meet program milestones and travel on occasion Management and Leadership Competencies · Experience in collaboration in a matrix-managed environment, and across multiple and diverse groups.
