Database Developer Length: 6-12 months Location : Raleigh, NC Start: 1-2 weeks Interview: phone / skype Rate: 50/HR all-inclusive *Job Description:* The Head of Global Quantitative Equity Research is looking for a Database engineer to build and link data from multiple databases into an Oracle database that can be queried upon at a specified point in time. The main responsibilities include: Creation of Oracle schema and deployment scripts and coordinating with DBAs to release scripts Creation of ETL process to import new data nightly from multiple databases Database performance tuning Development of deployment and support processes to ensure reliable data imports Assist with the development of a regression test pack to test quant models Installation of software on Linux General support and troubleshooting Required Skills: *5+ years’ relational database skills e.g. SQL Server or Oracle* *2+ years' experience with ETL tools e.g. Informatica or SSIS* *3+ years’ experience with Linux OS and scripting skills (Bash, Python)* Finance IT background Good communication skills Reliable with high sense of responsibility Can work independently and use initiative Flexible with a can-do attitude Degree in computer science or mathematics or related subjects Experience with Quant models - HUGE PLUS Matlab or R experience - HUGE PLUS Python programming skills. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
