I am in Africa. Bangui, Central African Republic.
There is no way for me to connect my android to internet over GPRS.
I need to "Reverse Tether", that is, I need to share the internet
connection of my laptop with my phone so that I can use the phone to
get apps from the market, update my maps, etc.

I have searched for the answer to no avail, any thoughts how this can
be done?

thanks,

Neil Hendrick
