It was my understanding that even though TextView is not a ScrollView, it has scrolling functionality built-in.
However, I'm not able to scroll the contents of a TextView (that's on 1.6). I've reduced my code to the most trivial example: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/ android" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:orientation="vertical"> <TextView android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:inputType="text|textMultiLine" android:singleLine="false" /> </LinearLayout> I then defined a really long string for testing, which I set on this text view using setText(). The text is too long for the TextView, but there is no way to scroll it. So do I need to wrap it in a ScrollView after all?
