Thanks for all the info, very helpful. One question. The files to be sent don't contain sensitive or private information that would need encryption or secure transfer (they're recipes, grocery lists and other non-interesting stuff).
It's the user name and password for the ftp site that I'm trying to make sure is not compromised. I was thinking I may still need to use SFTP, correct?
