Finally got something working :)i debugged the emulator using GDB and found out that the emulator was waiting on a lock on Audio device which it could not get... so it used to be stuck there. So no i run it using -noaudio option.
But one problem still exists, if i run the emulator without debugging i.e. directly from commandline it doesnt work. However if i use gdb to debug it ...it runs properly On Tue, May 26, 2009 at 9:59 AM, Fred Grott <fred.gr...@gmail.com> wrote: > Well, if you get Eclipse to run than you should have no problem starting > the emulator that I can see. > > > > > On Tue, May 26, 2009 at 8:41 AM, yogi <yogesh...@gmail.com> wrote: > >> >> I am not facing any problem related to other java apps...i have been >> using eclipse and it works fine >> as for JDK am using version "1.5.0_18" >> I noticed one more thing that there is defunct java process which is >> child process of emulator...is there something wrong over here >> >> yogesh 4104 3419 53 09:40 pts/0 00:00:07 emulator -verbose - >> show-kernel >> yogesh 4155 4104 2 09:40 pts/0 00:00:00 [java] <defunct> >> >> >> On May 22, 4:00 pm, Fred Grott <fred.gr...@gmail.com> wrote: >> > So if you start some other java app you get no errors correct? >> > >> > Okay lets go through some obvious stuff your java alternatives command >> > lists what JDK/JRE ? >> > >> > On Fri, May 22, 2009 at 2:47 PM, yogi <yogesh...@gmail.com> wrote: >> > >> > > didnt notice nything like that....setup completed without ny errors >> > >> > > On May 22, 3:41 pm, Fred Grott <fred.gr...@gmail.com> wrote: >> > > > Hmm it should run as you have the same setup as me except for the >> > > VirtulaBox >> > > > part.. >> > >> > > > Wait Is there anything you might have missed in the Ubuntu setup.. >> did >> > > you >> > > > see any too many files open errors in the logs? >> > >> > > > On Fri, May 22, 2009 at 2:35 PM, yogi <yogesh...@gmail.com> wrote: >> > >> > > > > In my case it doesnt even startup.
