it's working fine here, so my guess is that you still have that property
defined in the Spring cartridge too, where it is set to 'true' (which is the
default value for ${hibernate.db.showSql}, defined in mda/project.properties)
you need it there because it needs to be written into the application context
xml file, not sure about the hibernate cartridge though
