will to study the dynamics and regimes of planetary atmospheres, including that
of Earth.

The post will include numerical modelling and theoretical activities concerning
the large-scale circulation of planetary atmospheres, investigating planetary
regimes, jets, and the relation of the circulation of Earth to that of other
planets, and the interaction of physical processes, such as radiation, with
dynamics. The successful applicant will be knowledgeable in climate dynamics,
planetary dynamics and/or geophysical fluid dynamics or related fields, and
ideally will have expertise in both theory and numerical modelling. The
