Greetings apple growers, In the apple industry, one of the highest measures of success is the Apple Grower Of The Year Award. Now in its 23rd year, this award, presented by American/Western Fruit Grower magazine and sponsored by DuPont Crop Protection in cooperation with the U.S. Apple Association, recognizes those apple growers who have reached outstanding levels of success, as indicated by their peers. Past winners include John Rice, Grady Auvil, George Lamont, Evan and Nathan Milburn, Bill Zirkle, Gary Mount, and many other outstanding growers. Last year's winner was Mike Taylor of Taylor Orchards in eastern Washington.
