It is a wonderful resource for us outside the major fruit growing areas to have available and I use it everyday. Feel free to use our site if it applies to your situation. The closest NEWA or EnviroWeather station is over a 100 miles from several growers we work with. We would like to use the MaluSim carbohydrate model but cannot find any information on how to manually calculate carbohydrate loads and balances using our on-farm weather data. Does an Excel spreadsheet exist that would allow us to input weather parameters from our on-farm stations? The NEWA stations make it very easy, but all the articles discuss that accuracy of weather data is essential for this to work and I am concerned about how appropriate it would be to use carbohydrate predictions from over 100 miles away.
