"It's in the next release." :-) Has anyone had a successful work around by compiling Perl in 32 bit on a 64 bit box and referencing the 32 bit libraries from an older release? What would be the implications of that? -Eric On Wed, Jan 12, 2011 at 1:28 AM, <conny.mar...@t-systems.com<mailto:conny.mar...@t-systems.com>> wrote: Hi Eric, there is an open defect at BMC regarding this problem. "SW00330613 Problems with 64 Bit AR API Libraries under Linux". But there is no progress on this issue. Building a custum application against 64-Bit libraries is working fine. But if you're linking the ar-libraries with perl you won't be able to access any arserver. I got the API configured and installed against ARServer 7.5, but now I have another problem. When I try to connect, I receive this error: -bash-3.2$ ./testremedy.pl<http://testremedy.pl> [ERROR] Cannot open catalog; Message number = 90 (remedy7.fras.frb.org<http://remedy7.fras.frb.org> : RPC: Can't encode arguments) (ARERR #90) at ./testremedy.pl<http://testremedy.pl> line 20. I'm connecting to ARServer on a Windows server, does that have anything to do with it? ARSPerl is the CVS release and it's built against ARServer 7.5 on 64 bit Linux. -Eric ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Protect Your Site and Customers from Malware Attacks Learn about various malware tactics and how to avoid them.
