-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 First, thanks for your response. I was beginning to wonder if I would ever be able to solve this problem. Currently, I am taking your second suggestion, running two artsds with 10-second timeouts. It's at times like this that I wish I had greater coding ability. While reading your response, the thought struck me, "Why shouldn't arts run like X?" That is, X has the option to not accept connections from anyone but localhost; this way, I can run two X sessions, but not have to worry about someone connecting remotely. Would this be feasible? I'm not familiar with the sound architecture behind arts at all, but it would be handy, especially for people in my situation who want multiple X sessions (hey, even WinXP has gotten into the act!) without having conflicting sound problems. (Even with a short automatic timeout, if I leave noatun running, this will create problems in the other session.) Thanks again for your help, :Peter -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org
