That is nice to know that Gibbons are exclisve to Assam. I donot think we have separate names for Gibbons in Assamese other than Bandor. Probably they are called Holow Bandor or Molua Bandor. Gibbons are known for their long hands. I think they will go for Holow Bandor although I donot know which are called Molua Bandor.

Assam is the only place where Gibbons are found in India. Gibbons are found in Assam Nagaland border.  It must have an Assamese name. Does anybody know what the locals call Gibbon ?
