Title: Re: [Assam] Nirvana of the soul
That is why I think a Hindu cannot
be a fundamentalist of the religious belief issue. A Hindu can be a
fundamentalist only politically.
They can say, we all Hindus should
unite and fight the Muslims to take over the Babri Masjid because that was
once Ram's temple.
A Hindu cannot say let us all unite
and try to follow our original pure Vedic Hinduism because that does not
work.

There can be another explanation:
What if it is because FEW take their religion seriously enough? A
religion that
avowedly has no tenets, no beliefs, no directives and no faith; cannot
conceivably arouse the passions they do. And such lack of passion translates
into Hinduism's appalling record on social, educational, ethical and moral
upliftment for its flocks. It has remained mired as an instrument for trading
with the gods for favors, here in this life and for the hereafter, steeped in
superstitions and rife with bigotries.

I
think Hinusim has an advantage over other religions which are more focused
about their beliefs and therfore one can really attack and hit the bull's

cannot attack Hinduism on any particular point and say you have attacked
Hindusim. Say for instance, if I say Krishna was nothing but a playboy, how
many Hindus do you think will be hurt? That is why one does not hear
incidents of attacking Hinduism which one can make it political. You
can hurt some of the Hindus some of the time but not all the Hindus. In
Christianity, one can attack Jesus Christ, and you can offend all the
Christians. In Hinduism I don't think there is any such one single point
where you can hit and hurt the Hindus. Hindusim is a multi front
religion.
