As a preliminary before testing, you can take screen shots of every 
configurable category in ASSP, 2x preferably since it has more features, 
print them out, make a file and sit half an hour - an hour with your 
boss explaining what everything does for filtering, and how most of 
those expensive solutions don't come close to it. That oughta do the 
trick, I hope!

On a side note, if you take the option of installing it on Ubuntu, why 
not replace exchange with a decent linux mail server as well? Then 
you'll only need 1 machine...
