Do remember that asterisk needs to be in the media stream for this to work, so you'll want to make sure (in the case of SIP devices) you've set canreinvite=no You might also want to increase the feature code timeout (both activation and interdigit) - I think the default is something like 500ms, which most users find far too short to use reliably.
