Tom, Astlinux is cross-compiled so it uses a toolchain to pass all the correct options to the compilier rather than compiling directly. It is alot to take in initially, but it is doable. I don't know how much ISDN cards cost (is the card you have a single port?), but it may be quicker/cheaper/easier to buy a supported card. We try to support most hardware with Astlinux, but since none of the developers have this hardware, it's a little difficult for us to test it. If you do want to create a package in Astlinux, we'd be happy to answer some questions after you've dug into the development environment and have a basic understanding of how it operates.
