It works fairly well, and integrates with Astlinux, though it would have to be run on a different box. I would imagine that almost any FOP would need to be run remotely, but any that support Asterisk should work fine over the AMI. From it's perspective, there really is no difference. Not sure if you could get any to work locally on the Astlinux box though. Maybe some web app or something like that.
