Hi,
I encounter kernel Oops with aufs version 2 on a vanila kernel(2.6.28.X and
2.6.27.X) and not with aufs version 1.
The trace does not show any thing related to aufs (at least I can't notice
it), but to ext3 filesystem but the fact is that it's not happens with aufs1
   or without aufs at all.
If I mount /tmp as tmpfs, than the Oops does not show, so aufs2 patch
   probably affects it somehow.
   I'm using centos 5.2 64bit  via nfsroot(diskless) where /var and /etc has
aufs RW branchs, /tmp is local and all the rest are RO.
All the data you required is in the attached files, and here are the rest
   details:
   Linux kernel version: 2.6.28.8
   aufs version: 20090126
The Oops message and the trace are in the "var-log-messages_Oops" file
The problem occures, At least for me, when partitions my disk to tree
   partitions:
   /dev/sda1 swap
/dev/sda2 /var (which is the local RW aufs branch) as etx3 FS
   /dev/sda3 /tmp ext3
When it happens: Right after gdm start(while boot) I get the Oops messages
and can't login via gdm and at all, except root.
I suspect the patch affects ext3 and/or local filesystems cause when /tmp is
mounted as tmpfs it's not happening (/var_rw is still mounted as ext3 RW
   brach over /var aufs)
Hope everything is clear enough, and I'm sorry I can't look into it deaper..
I don't have the time for it now :-(
   Thanks,
   David
